Compounded formulas. made on site
Bespoke medicines made to medical prescription. Special dosages, intolerances, dermatological preparations.
What it is
Medicines made to measure, from the Spanish National Formulary.
A compounded formula is a medicine made by the pharmacist from an individual medical prescription. It is compounded when the commercial medicine doesn’t exist, doesn’t exist at the right dose, or when the patient cannot tolerate an excipient in the industrial preparation.
We work to the Spanish National Formulary (the official reference in Spain) and keep documentation of every batch compounded, along with quality controls and traceability. It is not improvisation: it is precision pharmacy.
“The National Formulary is the reference; every batch is documented.” Compounding at Farmacia Vegas
If you bring a compounded-formula prescription, we make it in our laboratory and hand it to you with written instructions. If the doctor needs to consult the pharmacist about the prescription, we are available.
