In Asturias and most of Spain, "farmacia de guardia" / "farmacia de turno" both refer to the pharmacy on the weekly out-of-hours rota assigned by the Official Pharmacists’ Association of the Principality of Asturias.
Farmacia Vegas is the only permanent daytime pharmacy on duty in Gijón. We are open 9:00 to 21:00 every day of the year — Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, bank holidays, Christmas, Easter and summer included. No lunchtime closure.
Our daytime duty isn’t a rotating slot we happen to get: it has been our routine for decades. If you’re looking for an open pharmacy in Gijón outside standard hours, you will find a pharmacist on duty throughout our hours.
